ID proof a must to book flight ticket

Dedicated queues, baggage drops for those who book using Aadhaar

In a few months, you will no longer be able to book a flight ticket without submitting an ID proof such as Aadhaar, passport or (Permanent Account Number) PAN, Minister of State for Civil Aviation Jayant Sinha said on Thursday.
“... As you all know, even today if you have to go on an international journey, you have to submit the passport number to provide a unique identification. We are going to move towards a regime where we will require either passport, Aadhaar or PAN, or some other identification measure to be linked to your PNR number so that we can uniquely identify you during the journey,” he said at a press conference.
