Confusion galore at medical college
Many came for the third consecutive day to get their forms
Confusion reigned on the third day of issue of application forms for
MBBS and BDS courses at K.A.P. Viswanatham Medical College, where people
had gathered in large numbers.
Many had come for the third consecutive day to get their application forms. The candidates, who were issued tokens on the first day, had also come to the college to get their forms
.
However, several of them got agitated when the officials told them that they had received just 250 forms. Anxious parents entered into heated arguments with the officials and some even literally gheraoed the officials.
“I have come for the third consecutive day to get the form. But, I have not succeeded yet. Forms are issued only to influential persons. It is not the right way to treat medical aspirants,” said S. Revathy of Karur.
R. Rajendran of Manapparai said that he did not know the reason behind “restricting” the sale of application forms. Poor planning has only led to people waiting for hours together to get the forms.
Since a large number of people rushed to the podium of an auditorium, where the forms were being issued, Vice Principal Arshiya had to rush to the venue to pacify the agitated crowd.
She then informed them that they could download applications online.
