Shortage of forms hits med applications

MBBS aspirants who sought applications were turned away by several centres in the 22 staterun medical colleges as they ran out of forms on the second day on Wednesday.Officials said the number of applicants this time is double compared to last year. “We've sold 38,000 applications so far. Last year, this is how much we sold during the entire season,“ said director of medical education Dr A Edwin Joe.“We have also uploaded the forms in our website. Aspirants can take a printout and submit,“ Joe said. The deadline for submission is July 7.
