Special trains for Onam, Velankanni festival

The Railways will operate special trains in connection with the Onam and Velankanni shrine annual festival.

The train No. 82615 Chennai Central to Ernakulam junction Suvidha special train will leave Chennai Central at 10.30 p.m. on August 23 and will reach Ernakulam at 10.55 a.m. the next day.

The train will halt at Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva and Ernakulam Town.

The No. 06014 Ernakulam Junction – Chennai Central special fare special train will leave Ernakulam at 2.45 p.m. on August 24 and will reach Chennai Central at 4.50 a.m. the next day.

The train will halt at Aluva, Thrisur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tirupur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi and Perambur.

The No. 06047 Chennai Central – Kochuveli special fare special train will leave Chennai Central at 3 p.m. on August 21 and will reach Kochuveli at 6.45 a.m. the next day.

The No.06048 Kochuveli – Chennai Central special fare special train will leave Kochuveli at 12.30 p.m. on August 22 and 28 and will reach Chennai Central at 7.40 a.m. the next day.

These trains will halt at Arakkonam, Katpadi, Jolarpettai, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, Coimbatore, Palakkad, Thrisur, Aluva, Ernakulam Town, Kottayam, Tiruvalla, Chengannur, Kayamkulam and Kollam.

The No. 06046 Thiruvananthapuram – Velankanni special fare special train will leave Thiruvananthapuram at 3.30 p.m. on August 29 and September 5 and will reach Velankaani at 3.45 a.m. the next day.

Train No.06045 Velankanni – Thiruvananthapuram special fare special train will leave Velankanni at 10.10 p.m. on August 30 and September 6 and will reach Thiruvananthapuram at 12.15 p.m. the next day.

These trains will stop at Kulitturai, Eraniel, Nagercoil Town, Valliyur, Tirunelveli, Kovilpatti, Satur, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Tiruchchirappalli, Thanjavur, Tiruvarur and Nagapattinam.

The No. 06016 Ernakulam Junction – Velankanni special fare special train will leave Ernakulam at 11 p.m. on August 28 and 31 and September 4 and 7 and will reach Velankanni at 1 p.m. the next day.

The No.06019 Tirunelveli – Mangalore Junction special fare special train will leave Tirunelveli at 5.55 p.m. on August 23 and will reach Mangalore at 12.30 p.m. the next day.

The No.06020 Mangalore Junction. – Tirunelveli special fare special train will leave Mangalore at 3.40 p.m. on August 24 and will reach Tirunelveli at 9.45 a.m. the next day. These trains will halt at Nagercoil Town, Kulitturai, Neyyattinkara, Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Shoranur Jn., Tirur, Kozhikode, Vadakara Thalassery, Kannur, Payyanur, Kanhangad and Kasaragod.

The No.06023 Nagercoil Junction – Mangalore Junction special fare special train will leave Nagercoil at 4.15 p.m. on August 26 and will reach Mangalore at 6.30 a.m. the next day.

The No.06024 Mangalore Junction – Nagercoil special fare special train will depart Mangalore at 8.30 a.m. on August 27 and will reach Nagercoil at 10.15 p.m. the same day.

These trains will halt at Thiruvananthapuram, Kollam, Kayamkulam, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Kottayam, Ernakulam Town, Aluva, Thrisur, Shoranur Jn., Kozhikode, Kannur and Kasaragod. Advance reservation for all these trains commenced on August 8, an official press release of Salem Railway Division said.
