Anna varsity gets new registrar  27.06.2019

Professor L Karunamoorthy from the department of mechanical engineering, College of Engineering, Guindy, has been appointed as new registrar of Anna University.

He has also served as the syndicate member of the university and has three decades of academic experience. He would take charge as the registrar on Thursday. “The tenure of registrar will be fixed after getting the syndicate’s approval for the appointment,” university officials said. The present registrar professor J Kumar will attain superannuation in June. He would continue till May 2020 as professor at Crystal Growth Centre in Anna University.

Recruitment drive for contract-based employment: SSTECH, the service provider for corporation’s upcoming smart parking management system, will organize a recruitment drive for contract-based employment for 500 attenders, 160 enforcement agents, ticket examiners, area supervisors, zone managers, office assistants, CCTV technicians, electricians, CAD draftsmen, and drivers. The drive will be held on June 29 and 30 at Presidency College premises from 9am to 6pm.

City college gets A+ grade: The NAAC has awarded A+ grade to KCG College of Technology, Chennai. The college has been given a cumulative grade point average of 3.34 on a four-point scale. Based on the self-study report submitted by the college and the report of the NAAC peer team that visited the college on May 23 and 24, the assessment was carried out and scores were calculated.
