Thanjavur: Chennai-based Madhushree N secured the first position in the rank list for admission to 5-Year Integrated Law Programmes of the Sastra Law School for the academic year 2019-20.
The Vidya Mandir School student scored 484/500 in the +2 exams and secured a CLAT score of 149.25. The rank list was released at 6:30 pm. after receiving applications up to 5 pm on June 21, 2019.
Over 1,000 students from various states applied for the 120 seats at the Law School at SASTRA for which admissions are based on aggregate plus-two and CLAT Scores. Counselling for admissions is on June 27, for which counselling letters have been e-dispatched, said a University press release issued here on Friday.
“The competition for Law admissions has gotten tougher when compared to last year and this is reflection of the emerging career opportunities in the legal profession,” said Dr S. Vaidhyasubramaniam, vice-chancellor of Sastra.
