 Sub-registrar arrested in fake documents case

 He aided a man to appropriate property

The . Tirupattur police on Tuesday arrested a sub-registrar in a 2015 fake documents case.
According to Tirupattur Town police, Pachaiammal, a resident of Krishnagiri Main Road, Tirupattur, approached the Madras High Court, after her son, Murali, appropriated his ailing father’s property through fake documents.

His father Rajikannu was comatose, when Murali transferred two saw mills worth Rs. 10 crore to himself by affixing his father’s thumb impression on the documents.
He took the help of Karunakaran, then sub-registrar of Tirupattur, and three others, for this purpose, police said.

Went on medical leave
Following a court directive, police arrested Murali and two others.
The sub-registrar, who was transferred to Kallakurichi, eluded the police net by going on medical leave. He was nabbed him on Tuesday.
