Vellore: 4 girl students of govt school kill themselves after teacher scolds them

VELLORE: Four girl students of a government higher secondary school
committed suicide by jumping into a well reportedly after a teacher of
the school scolded them in Vellore district of Tamil Nadu on Friday
evening.
The bodies of three students have been fished out by the fire and rescue services personal. The body of the fourth victim has not been found until the last report from the village in the district. The bodies of students identified as Revathi, Sankar and Deepa were fished out while the body of Manisha has not been recovered so far.
All of them pursued Class 11 at a government school in Panapakkam near Arakonam in Vellore district.

A police team, led by deputy superintendent of police (Arakonam) S Kuthalingam, DSP (Ranipet) Vijayakumar and Avalur police inspector Sathiyalingam visited the crime spot and made preliminary inquiries.
Police suspected that the four girls resorted to take the extreme step after a teacher of the school scolded them and asked them to bring their parents to the school for a briefing about their academic performance.
