Nearly 60,000 apply for med courses

At least 59,887 candidates have applied for admission to MBBS and BDS courses under state quota in government colleges and self-financing medical colleges affiliated to the Tamil Nadu Dr MGR Medical University till Saturday.
Of these, 51,190 students have submitted the hard copies of the application along with attachments to the selection committee. The link for online registrations is available on the state health department website (http://www.tnhealth.org/) and state selection committee website (https://tnmedicalselection.net/). Government medical colleges have set up information kiosks to help students fill up forms online. TNN
