Sasikala to return to jail today
V.K. Sasikala, the deposed interim general secretary of the AIADMK who came to Chennai on a five-day parole, is set to return to the Parappana Agrahara Prison in Bengaluru on Thursday.
Her husband Natarajan, who recently underwent a renal and liver transplant, has been recuperating at a private hospital in Chennai.
Sasikala, while staying at a relative’s house in T. Nagar, has been visiting her husband in the hospital over the last few days.
Bar on political activities
She is expected to report back to the Bengaluru Central prison by 6 p.m. on October 12.
According to the terms of her parole, she has been barred from involving herself in any political activity.
Though she was allowed to speak to her relatives, she was not allowed to visit other places. She was also escorted by the police from her residence to the hospital.
