CHENNAI: The Tamil Nadugovernment declared a holiday for all schools in Chennai, Tiruvallur and Kancheepuram districts on Tuesday due to forecast of heavy rain.
The education department took a decision on Monday evening after weathermen said there would be heavy to very heavy rainfall in the city till Friday.
Colleges in Chennai district will remain closed on Tuesday due to rain, collector announced on Monday night.
