Special trains to clear Deepavali rush
The Railways will operate special trains between Chennai Central and Coimbatore via Salem and Erode to clear the Deepavali rush.
The Railways will operate train No. 82609 Chennai Central – Coimbatore Suvidha special train will be operated on October 17 (Tuesday) and train No. 06020 Coimbatore – Chennai Central special fare special train on October 19 (Thursday), according to an official press release of Salem Railway Division issued here on Tuesday.
The Chennai Central – Coimbatore train will leave Chennai Central at 8 p.m.; Salem 1.50 a.m. on the next day; Erode 2.50 a.m.; Tiruppur 3.36 a.m. and will reach Coimbatore at 4.35 a.m.
The Coimbatore – Chennai Central special fare special train will leave Coimbatore at 7.10 p.m.; Tiruppur 8.12 p.m.; Erode 8.50 p.m.; Salem 9.50 p.m. and will reach Chennai Central at 3.45 a.m. on Friday. The composition of these trains are AC first class coach one, AC 3-tier two, sleeper class 10, general second class two, and luggage-cum-brake van two coaches. Advance trains for both these trains are already open, the press release said.
