RAJINIKANTH BEGINS SHOOT FOR PETTA IN VARANASI

There seems to be a great power emanating from Varanasi, as none other than Superstar Rajinikanth is currently shooting in the Chunar area, on the outskirts of the divine city. Shooting for Petta, Thalaivar recently canned some scenes at Koyala Mandi, which falls on the Mughalsarai route, a few kilometres from Varanasi. The actor was seen enjoying kulhar chai as part of a scene. A song sequence involving actor Vijay Sethupathi was also shot in which he was spotted dining at a makeshift dhaba. Directed by Karthik Subbaraj, the film has a long shooting schedule, of nearly a month in and around the holy city. Despite his tight schedule, Rajinikanth, “has expressed his desire to visit the Kashi Vishwanath temple. Thalaivar plans to visit the temple soon on one of the off days,” revealed a source.
