Counselling for 5-yr law course begins

First round of counselling for five-year integrated honours law degree at the School of Excellence in Law (SOEL), Chennai, began on Monday.
State law minister C Ve Shanmugam distributed allotment letters to the top three candidates during the inaugural session.
Rank list and cut-off scores for various communities have been uploaded on the university’s official website (tndalu.ac.in/Admission.php). Applications for BA LLB, BBA LLB, BCom LLB and BCA LLB were issued from the third week of May. Cut-off scores to make Open Category (OC) candidates eligible is from 86.7 to 94.5. It varied from 60 to 91for reserved category candidates. More than 3,100 applications were received for 780 seats at SEOL in Taramani, Chennai. This is a premier institute affiliated to Tamil Nadu Dr Ambedkar Law University (TNDALU).
