Getting duplicate certificates made easy
University has simplified procedure
Madurai Kamaraj University has simplified the procedure for its graduates, postgraduates and other degree holders to obtain duplicate copies of degree certificates, mark statements and other certificates.
A statement issued by Vice-Chancellor P.P. Chellathurai on Tuesday said the university had earlier mandated submission of ‘non-traceable’ certificate obtained from the police regarding the lost certificates, a newspaper notification issued by the candidate on the loss and an affidavit for the application of duplicate copies of the certificates.
Now, application for duplicate copies could be made by paying the prescribed fee and submitting a valid photo identity proof like Aadhaar card, Elector’s Photo Identity Card or driving licence, the statement added.
