Universities in Russia offer Indian students scholarships

Chennai: Russian universities on Wednesday said they would offer Indian students scholarships for PG programmes.

The programmes will be offered on the basis of an eligibility test to study master’s programme in one of the top Russian universities — National Research Nuclear University MEPhI.

The announcement was made by Mikhail Gorbatov, viceconsul of Consulate General of the Russian Federation in South India, during a conference on Wednesday.

The announcement was made in the light of ROSATOM (Russian State Atomic Energy Corporation) Festival of Science dedicated to the 30th anniversary of the Russian-Indian cooperation in the field of the peaceful uses of the atomic energy.

Students with bachelor’s degree in science, preferably with familiarity in atomic physics and thermal physics and minimum of 50% of marks are eligible to take up the Science Olympiad test. For details, visit www.russia.study. TNN
