PIO card not to be valid after June 30: Indian Embassy-

Muscat -

The Embassy of India in Muscat has said that the cards of Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) will not be valid after June 30.

In a statement, the embassy said, “All concerned are therefore advised to have the PIO cards converted to Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) ones. The procedure for filling the application online for the issuance of OCI card and the supporting documents required for this purpose have been simplified. Only a copy of the valid PIO card and a copy of the current valid passport are now required for the conversion of PIO card to OCI card.”
