Thiruvananthapuram Medical College panel finds doctors not at fault

THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: The Thiruvananthapuram Medical College authorities have reiterated there were no lapses on the college’s part in the death of Murugan, the migrant worker from Tamil Nadu who died after he was denied treatment from various hospitals.
The investigation committee constituted under the Medical College superintendent Joby John submitted its report to the Directorate of Medical Education stating the doctors of the medical college were not in the wrong in the incident.The assessment report said Murugan was given care as per the treatment protocol.
It said no ventilator was vacant when Murugan was brought to the hospital. Doctors in charge of intensive care went to the ambulance and examined him. It was found the patient’s condition was critical
