Students belonging to Overseas Citizens of India (OCI) or Persons of Indian Origin (PIO) can now apply for CET. Following a High Court of Karnataka direction, the Karnataka Examinations Authority has introduced a change in the online application format. The KEA Administrative Officer S.N. Gangadharaiah said that earlier, the application would allow a student to go further only if the answer to the question “Are you an Indian citizen?” was in the affirmative. “Now, if they say no, there is another option of choosing OCI/PIO. They will then be allowed to fill the rest of the form,” he said. The KEA has also extended the last date for submission of online applications till February 25. The last date to pay the fee is February 26.
