Rajinikanth feels Karunanidhi welcomed him to politics with a smile

CHENNAI: Tamil superstar Rajinikanth called on DMK president M Karunanidhi at the latter's Gopalapuram residence in Chennai on Wednesday evening.

After the meeting, Rajinikanth told reporters: "I told Kalaignar that I have entered politics. He smiled and nodded his head as if welcoming me to politics."

Karunanidhi is not keeping well over the past one year and can't speak.

The actor arrived at the former Tamil Nadu chief minister's residence around 7.50pm. DMK working president MK Stalin welcomed him.

Earlier, speaking to reporters at his Poes Garden residence, Rajinikanth had said he was meeting Karunanidhi as he wanted to wish him New Year.
