Univ signs MoU with Southern Naval Command
A Memorandum of Understanding was signed between headquarters, Southern Naval Command and Amrita Vishwa Vidyapeetham at the university’s campus in Coimbatore on Wednesday for academic and research collaboration. The MoU would encompass fields of mechanical engineering, electronics and communication, computer science and cybersecurity, a release said.
IIT-M prof elected to global academies: Indian Institute of Technology, Madras, faculty and nanotechnologist Thalappil Pradeep has been elected to two global academies, said a release from the institute. “He is one of seven fellows globally to be elected in the field of Chemistry to the Fellowship of The World Academy of Sciences, based in Trieste, Italy. Pradeep was also elected to American Association for the Advancement of Science, based in Washington DC,” the release added.
City college group bags grant: The Regional English Language Office of the US Embassy in New Delhi and the US Consulate General in Chennai have awarded an English Access Microscholarship Program grant to Loyola College Society. The Access Program will help 75 undergraduate students enhance their English language proficiency and leadership skills.
