MCI advisory to students
Bengaluru, Apr 14, 2017, DHNS: 1:06 IST
The Medical Council of India has
issued an advisory alerting students against believing messages that
have been circulated on social media that counselling for NRI and
management seats would be conducted by colleges themselves.
A fake document, resembling a notification, is doing rounds on WhatsApp, Facebook and other social media, regarding the filling of post graduate medical and dental seats by colleges themselves. The fake notification is dated April 11, but does not have any signature of authorities.
Students have been advised to only consider the notification that is made available on the official site www.mciindia.org. Minister for Medical Education Dr Sharan Prakash Patil announced in a press conference on Wednesday that postgraduate medical and dental seats, including the NRI and management quota, would be filled by the KEA only.
