Medical aspirant stabbed to death in Kota

A 22-year-old medical aspirant was allegedly stabbed to death outside Kota's Garh Palace fort on Monday evening while trying to pacify an arguing couple.
 
Police said Anil Bamal, a resident of Gurugram in Haryana, had appeared for the National Eligibility cum Entrance Test in Kota on Sunday . Bamal was visiting the palace with his friends on Monday when they spotted a couple fighting, following which the boy tried to rough up the girl.

When Bamal tried to intervene, he was stabbed on the chest, which punctured his heart. Bamal was rushed to the hospital, where doctors declared him brought dead, said KC Meena, SHO Kaithunipol.
The accused Lalit Kahar, 19, initially fled the spot with his girlfriend, but was arrested on Tuesday . Kahar said he was extremely upset with his girlfriend's regular taunts and she was pestering him to visit another place that day , which led to the argument. Embarrassed that a stranger had intervened in their brawl, he stabbed Bamal in a fit of rage.

Bamal's body was handed over to his family on Tuesday after the autopsy , cops said.
