The Madurai bench of the
Madras high court on Wednesday directed the secretary of the Tamil Nadu
governor to produce entire records relating to the appointment of P P
Chelladurai as vice-chancellor (V-C) of Madurai Kamaraj University
(MKU).
A division bench consisting of justices K K Sasidharan
and G R Swaminathan gave this direction on a PIL filed by Lionel M
Anthony Arulraj saying that the present vicechancellor was not entitled
to hold the post for want of basic minimum qualification of 10 years of

registrar and the principal secretary of the higher education department
and adjourned the case to August 1 for hearing.
