AGRA: From November 21 onwards, people will be able to go on a whirlwind trip to Agra and Jaipur from Delhi. Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has launched a two-day, one-night package, dubbed the 'golden triangle', for people wanting to visit the two cities from Delhi.
Under this plan, train tickets of three Shatabdi Express have been linked to offer a comfortable and hassle-free travel schedule for tourists.
The itinerary of IRCTC's 'golden triangle' initiative is as follows: guests will board the Delhi-Habibganj Shatabdi early morning at New Delhi station and de-board at Agra. The package includes sightseeing of the Taj Mahal, the Agra Fort and Idmat-ud-daula, with lunch at a 5-star hotel in the city. After that, they will board the Agra-Jaipur Shatabdi to reach Jaipur, where they are to stay at Nirwana Hometel for the overnight halt.
The following morning, after breakfast, guests would be taken to Amber Fort, the 16th-century palace known for large ramparts, gates and cobbled paths. Lunch will be organized at the hotel. After lunch, they will visit the City Palace museum. After that, the tourists will be transported to the Jaipur railway station to board the Jaipur-New Delhi Shatabdi Express.
All sightseeing will be conducted in air-conditioned vehicles with experienced licensed guides. The package, slated for every Saturday and Sunday, will be begin from November 21. The package is priced at Rs. 9,444 per person on a double occupancy basis, and it excludes the entrance fee to monuments.
