HC comes to rescue of MBBS aspirant who lost certificates

The Madras high court on Wednesday came to the rescue of an MBBS-aspirant from Virudhunagar who lost his certificates at Egmore railway station.
Taking note of an article published in TOI on Wednesday on the issue, Justice S Vaidyanathan directed the government advocate for education department to get instructions from the authorities concerned as to whether the boy’s case could be considered as a special category and to consider allotment of seat.
On Sunday, G Bhoopathi Raja’s bag containing his certificates went missing and consequently he missed his counselling schedule for MBBS admission. A CCTV grab showed an elderly man walking away with the bag.
