Minister for railways Suresh Prabhakar Prabhu will visit Chennai Central Railway Station on Saturday afternoon where he will dedicate and inaugurate eleven projects and passenger amenities in Chennai, Tiruchchirappalli and Madurai divisions.Union minister of state for shipping and road transport & highways Pon Radhakrishnan and Tamil Nadu minister for fisheries, finance, personnel and administrative reforms D Jayakumar, MLAs and MPs will also be present.
A fourth line between Ennore-Tiruvottiyur stations (7 km), two lifts at Egmore station, LED lighting at 17 stations in Chennai division, a differently abled-friendly rest room at Moore Market Complex, elevated booking office at Pallavaram station, food plaza at Tambaram station, five water vending machines in Chennai division and Wi-Fi facility at Arakkonam Jn are some of the new facilities in Chennai.
The minister will inaugurate facilities at other divisions through videoconferencing.
