Chennai gets one more Apollo hospital

CHENNAI: Apollo Hospitals launched its tenth hospital in Chennai on Monday. TCS managing director N Chandrasekaran and chairman of the Apollo Hospitals Group Prathap C Reddy inaugurated the new hospital at Perungudi on the Old Mahabalipuram Road (OMR).

Apollo Speciality Hospitals is a 150-bed hospital that would offer tertiary care across medical disciplines like neuro and cardiac sciences, orthopaedics and trauma.

This hospital will lay special emphasis on preventive screening and diagnosis for NCDs (non-communicable disorders).

"The hospital will be characterized by customized work flows that leverage cutting edge technology and harness the immense power of health IT," Suneeta Reddy, managing director of Apollo Hospitals, said.
