NEET UG 2017: Check the last year cut off


For the under graduate NEET 2016 exam for medical courses, the cut off score is based on many factors such as number of seats, number of candidate’s applied for the exam, marking scheme and difficulty level of the test. After the Central Board of Secondary Education CBSE has declared the NEET 2016 result for candidates as qualified or non-qualified. The top 15% scorers is among the qualified candidates will be eligible to participate in NEET counselling process under 15% All India Quota seats. The merit list under 15% All India Quota seats will be prepared by the CBSE on the basis of score obtained in NEET 2017. The merit list will be equal to the number of seats available for allotment of MBBS/BDS courses under 15% All India Quota seats. There will also be a waiting list equal to 4 times of merit list.

In 2016, the category marks range for NEET UG was as follows: For UR- 691-098. The qualifying percentile was 50 and there were 157214 candidates. For OBC category the 629-081, while the 40th percentile will be qualifying criteria and there will be 149078 candidates. For the SC category, the marks range will be 610-081, there will be 40th percentile. There will be 42, 234 candidates. For ST categories the marks range will be 586-081. The qualifying criteria will be 40th Percentile. There will be 16518. For UR and PH, the marks range will be 589-089, the qualifying criteria will be 45 percentile. The marks range for OBC and PH will be 491-081, the qualifying criteria will be 40th percentile. There will be 606 candidates. For the Sc and PH, the marks range for the candidates will be 303-081 for the 40th percentile. There will be 173 candidates. For ST and PH category, the marks range will be 297-081 while to qualify the aspirants need to secure 40 th percentile. There will be 62 candidates. In 2016 there were 3,69,649 male eligible candidates. About 3,37,572 appeared for the exam while 32,077. About 11,058 candidates qualified for the exam. Overall 1,83,424 qualified over all NEET. There were 4,32,930 female eligible. About 3,93,642 appeared for the exam. 39,288 students were absent. About 8,266 candidates qualified for the candidates.
