The CBSE Board Class 12th examinations concluded in the month of March. This year, about 10,40,368 students have appeared for Class 12 exams across the country.
In the year 2014, total number of 10,29,874 students had appeared for class 12th examinations. Also during the year 2014, the educational board experienced more of 13,000 schools registered for providing opportunities to the students to sit for the examination.
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) was established in the year 1929, with its head office located in Delhi. It is one of the oldest and largest Board of Secondary Education in India. It has More then 16,000 affiliated schools in India and across 24 other countries of the world.
CBSE affiliates all Kendriya Vidyalayas, all Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalayas, private schools and most of the schools approved by central government of India. The board conducts final examinations every spring for All India Senior School Certificate Examination (AISSCE) for Class 10 and 12.
