Spl trains for COMEDK, WBJEE examinees


Patna: The East Central Railway (ECR) will run two special trains for Bangalore from Patna and Jayanagar for the examinees appearing at the COMEDK (Consortium of Medical, Engineering and Dental Colleges of Karnataka) examinations scheduled for May 10 in Karnataka.

According to ECR CPRO Arvind Rajak, the special train (05589/05590) from Jayanagar will leave on May 6 (Wednesday) at 2.30pm and reach Bangalore on Friday at 11pm. The load combination of this train will be of 19 coaches, including eight general coaches and two brake vans. This train will leave Bangalore on May 11 at 5am for Jayanagar. It will halt at Madhubani, Darbhanga, Samastipur, Barauni, Patna, Danapur, Ara, Buxar, Mughalsarai and Nagpur.

The second train (02353/02354) will leave Patna Junction on May 7 (Thursday) at 8.10pm and reach Bangalore on Saturday at 11pm. On its return, the train will leave Bangalore on May 11 (Monday) at 12 .30am in the night. It will reach Patna Junction on Wednesday at 3.10pm. Besides, railways will also run two other special trains for Kolkata from Patna and Darbhanga for the examinees of WBJEE-2015 examinations, scheduled on May 5 and 6. While Patna- Howrah special train (02360/02359) will leave Patna at 8.10pm on May 4 (Monday) and reach Howrah next morning at 5. On its return journey, it will leave Howrah at 8.10pm on May 6 and reach Patna Junction next day at 5.45am, the CPRO said.

There will be 19 coaches in this train which will stop at Rajendra Nagar Terminal, Patna Saheb, Bakhtiarpur, Mokama, Kiul, Jamui, Jhajha, Asansol, Durgapur and Burdwan, the CPRO said.
Similarly, Darbhanga-Kolkata special train (05234/05233) will run from Darbhanga on May 5 at 6.15am and reach Kolkata same day at 7.40pm. On its return journey, it will leave Kolkata on May 6 at 9.40pm and reach Darbhanga next day at 11 am.
