Police probing forgery case against 2 nurses

Marksheets tampered with: complainant

The Egmore police are investigating a case filed against two government hospital nurses for allegedly forging their mark sheets and joining work in 2014.
According to the police, the complaint was filed by S. Baby Vasumathi, former director and superintendent, Institute of Obstetrics and Gyanaecology and Government Hospital for Women and Children, Egmore, against Ajantha Rani, a staff nurse at the hospital, and R. Poonkodi, who was working at the same hospital and is now working at the Rajiv Gandhi Government General Hospital.
Ajanta Rani and Poonkodi joined as staff nurses. During the certificate verification, the original higher secondary marks submitted by the duo were found to be forged.
