Shocking! Mahatma Gandhi goes missing from Rs 2,000 notes in MP

In Sheopur area of Madhya Pradesh, a farmer received on Thursday Rs 2,000 notes without the image of Mahatma Gandhi. The notes were from State Bank of India (SBI) of the region.
However, R K Jain, an SBI officer clarified that it was a misprint and not fake currency as initially speculated. He added that the notes have been sent for probing.

According to a TOI report, banking and police sources told that many such notes were in circulation in the region.
